South Korea has a new president, Yoon Suk-yeol, a former prosecutor has taken office with just 41 percent of approval ratings, as the new leader of South Korea, he takes this new position promising to reinforce the country's freedom and democracy, as well as a plan to North Korea.

He, a conservative from the ‘People Power Party’ won the election in the first trimester of this year, replacing former President Moon Jae-in, promising to address the threats made by North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un and making it clear to leave open door to a dialogue.

“While North Korea’s nuclear weapon programs are a threat not only to our security and that of Northeast Asia, but the door to dialogue will also remain open so that we can peacefully resolve this threat”
