The wait is over! Let me introduce you the Lv. 50 Apple Ade, the dorkiest drink of these CU's pouched drinks, try or regret, what will you do?

I’ve had the opportunity to try some of them, to which I will give you my opinion and what to expect of their flavors. With the Apple Ade I had two different experiences, first time I tried it with the normal ice cup, which will give you a not so punchy flavor, it is like drinking apple juice. The second time, I tried combining it with apple flavored ice with it will give that extra flavor but as well it will add you an artificial sweetener after taste, it is not bad at all, this will depend on personal preferences, either way you need to try it.

CU's DELAFFE DRINKS

Famous Korean brand of pouch beverages Delaffe was created by one of the most popular convenience stores in the country, CU. These pouched drinks get sold the whole year, but sales would increase as summer appears, and has been the most popular since 2013, for its unique flavors and freshness they provide.

To get the whole Delaffe experience you must buy two things at the convenience store: a cup of ice, you have normal ones, plain ice, or flavored ice cups (which will give you and extra flavor to your drink), and of course your favorite Delaffe flavor pouch. Combining these two elements will deliver you a nice cold drink for hot days. The calories on it aren't that bad, it will be around 70 calories, and the sugar content can vary between 17-36 grams of sugar for 230 milliliters.

This one was the first I ever tried, on the Tart Cherry Ade, you get the cherry flavor with a nice soury after taste at the end, nice and refreshing, so far it is one of my favorites. To give you a better idea of its taste, you can pretty much compare it to a Kool-Aid.

Sikhye

Sikhye is a famous Korean drink made of sweetened rice and sometimes pine nuts. It is usually served as a dessert and is like the Chinese Jiuniang and Japanese Amazake. With this Delaffe pouch you will taste a grainy flavor, like an oat beverage (water + oat + sugar).

 

Jeju Matcha Latte

If you are a fan of matcha tea you will probably love this one, the distinction between a normal matcha latte and Jeju’s matcha late is that the last one will have a much stronger flavor, which is quite interesting. Regarding Delaffe beverage is like having milk mixed with matcha, not a big fan of it but is not bad, it actually has an interesting flavor. 

Blue Ice Lemonade

With an electric blue color, it will be appealing to you and makes you dig into it right away. It has a nice, sweet smell and and nice lemanode-ish flavor, definitely not as good as a lemonade made with real lemons, but hey, for a hot day in the Korean summer, it will definitely refresh you. To give you a clear example of what flavor you can expect from this one, it is quite like CapriSun lemonade or MinuteMade lemonade.

Americano Sweet

You can’t go wrong with this one, the combination of coffee and ice to create a nice sweet, iced coffee is perfect. This one is among my top 3 of Delaffe’s pouch beverages to have during a hot summer in Korea. For coffee lovers it is a nice experience to try this worldwide know beverage, but with a different style. Perfecto have it on the go or enjoy it on a beautiful park with a nice picnic. 

At the end, either of these beverages you enjoy the most, they will become a must in your life, and it would be hard to stop having just one at a day. So, in my opinion try not to buy more the one during the same day and just have it occasionally, that way you won’t get bored of it and consuming it this way will make you enjoy it even more.
