DATING DIARIES KOREA
Spoiler 1: he was a liar. Spoiler 2: we are not surprised about it.
This case is a bit different, mainly because it involves one of my best friends here in Korea and me.
We were both using dating apps, and without knowing it, we matched and talked with the same boy. Everything seemed normal, but… the odd thing is he knew we were friends. She and I had as one of our pictures that both of us were in there! He knew what he was doing!

He approached me like an outgoing person who loved Pilates, worked as a model for art students, and was not into drinks or all the crazy nightlife. He also mentioned he was cautious with money because of his work.

After a few weeks and several phone calls, we decided to meet to go walk his dog and have a coffee. Everything went well; the dog was cute, the coffee was nice, and our conversation was… a bit boring. He only talked about historical things, and sorry, but I'm not into those things on a 10 am Sunday.

The crazy thing is that my friend also had a date on that same day. And yes, it was with him! Both of us were unaware of the situation at that moment, but… The way he approached her was the opposite of what he showed me.
They went out for dinner in a fancy restaurant in the middle of Hongdae; they drank wine, and talked about how amazing and exciting his life was and how much money he made from Pilates classes and being a model.

The good part is that my friend and I shared everything together, reaching the point of even showing photos of, you know, girls supporting girls!
The reaction when we saw it was the same boy was C R A Z Y! We couldn't stop laughing because we both knew how each date went. Nothing made any sense!
We decided that we would also play a bit with him if he played with us. So we said to him to meet the same day at the same place, both at the same time like nothing ever happened! We also updated our Kakao profile photo to one of us, so he couldn't have an excuse to not "know who we were". So yeah, after that, he just disappeared from both Kakao's! He blocked us too, and we never heard from him again.

The good part? She got a free fancy dinner, and I got a free normal café with a nice dog. And, of course, a lot of laughs!
