What is going on with the “Butter(Remix)” from Megan Thee Stallion and BTS?
Megan Thee Stallion officially announced that her Remix of “Butter” by BTS has released today Friday, August 27th.
“Butter” by BTS, one of the biggest K-Pop groups worldwide, stayed on number one of the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks making it the longest turning song of 2021.
The Remix of the song of the K-pop group and the rapper is anticipated worldwide by Megan’s fans, the “Hotties” and the fan group of BTS, the “Army”.
Megan Thee Stallion previously had some issues with her label 1501 Certified regarding the collaboration but succeeded with the help of her lawyers to be able to release the remix on the planned day, the 27th of August.
After this was reported on the 25th, Big Hit music, BTS label posted a picture with the date and time of the release, which BTS_official retweeted and wrote that “Butter is back”.
Megan answered in a tweet of her own, stating her excitement for the collaboration.

The three-time Grammy Award winner Megan Thee Stallion built her success on her strong voice and fast rapping. Of course, we are excited to hear how she is going to sound in “Butter”.
The theme of the remix is something that we already know.
As seen in Big Hits and BTS posts on Twitter the announcement picture was pink. While the original song came with a yellow theme, this one will be quite different.
Armies worldwide used their spy senses to look for other hints to support this, like RM dancing in pink pants to their newest song “Permission to dance”, Suga with pink hair during a BTS Zoom meeting, and Megan’s post on Instagram, showing off her new nails with a pink theme in front of a pink background.
But Army’s creativity doesn’t stop here. There even is a whole fan-made video of a mix of the “Butter” MV from BTS and the music video for Phony Ppl’s “Fkn Around” featuring Megan Thee Stallion with the “Butter” sound layered on top.
Some even speculated that this was a leaked preview of the “Butter(Remix)”. But the Remix video was published two month ago, on the 4th of June 2021, before the creator of the video or anyone else even knew that there was going to be a collaboration between BTS and Megan Thee Stallion.
Megan’s collaboration with Phony Ppl’s for “Fkn Around” dates back to February 13th, 2020.
