Our thoughts and feelings go out to everyone impacted by the COVID-19 situation. This pandemic has had a huge impact on all walks of life and changed the way we live, interact, and socialize. We thoroughly appreciate the warm words and support you have given us and the strength of our community for spreading love and joy during these tough times.
Following our previous post regarding changes to our business and delivery times, we have additional updates for you.
Monday 25th May Update
We are excited to announce that we're now able to resume shipping to 12 selected countries from this Monday: Luxemburg, Vietnam, Italy, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bhutan, San Marino, China, Philippines, Afghanistan, Thailand, and the Vatican.
If you are from one of those countries, from now on your order will ship as usual. There might still be delays due to the current COVID-19 situation. We've already dispatched all the orders from the regions above. You can view your shipment details in your Seoulmate page.
Happy to be able to deliver boxes to you again! This is also a very positive sign, suggesting that the delivery situation across the globe is getting better. We can't wait to deliver happiness to our Seoulmates around the world again!
We always have our Seoulmates at the center of our decision making. We have been working closely with Korea Post, our main courier, to explore the best options possible. This gives a more realistic timeline of when international deliveries will begin to normalize again. This timeline is subject to review at the end of May, and we shall keep you updated every step of the way.
Next Steps
We have been closely monitoring this evolving situation and working around the clock to find the best solution for our Seoulmates both in the short and long term; engaging closely with our couriers, partners, and snack makers. We have outlined the options available in our action plan below:
- Express shipping for new and existing customers
Express shipping is still available for the following regions:
USA (except Hawaii), UK, Singapore, France, Hong Kong, Germany, Russia, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Canada
(certain regions please contact), Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Bhutan, Malaysia, China, Macao, and Japan
To ensure as many of you can receive your SeoulBox, we have decided to subsidize the cost of express delivery at a 40% reduced price. This was a difficult choice to make as we are providing this service at a loss. However, we prioritize our Seoulmates receiving their boxes during these tough times. This is a temporary offer while the situation is present. Given the current climate, it may take longer than the typical 5-7 business days delivery time. If you are an existing customer and would like to receive your SeoulBox as soon as possible, you can add express shipping option to your box by simply clicking here. If you are a new customer, you just need to add the express shipping at the checkout page. Please understand that the express option allow us to dispatch your SeoulBoxes compared to a restricted standard delivery which is not available. Given the current climate, all international deliveries are facing long delays, so please be patient with your order. We guarantee that you will receive your SeoulBox.
- Your current box
Due to the temporary suspension of standard shipping, we have decided to move all previous orders to July. For existing subscribers, we have already proactively moved your paid renewal dates to one month later. As this is an unprecedented event, we are continuously evaluating the situation. At the end of this week, we will determine if the renewal dates need to be changed again.
- Placing an order as a new customer
New customers can place orders that will be dispatched in June/July. However, please note this is subject to review in case we need to push back to the next month. We will make sure your parcels are dispatched as soon as possible. Additionally, the Four Seasons SeoulBox has been extended to June.
- Our guarantee to you
We will provide a 100% guarantee that you will receive your SeoulBox. In case there is any delivery issue due to the COVID-19 situation, we are happy to replace and resend all parcels. Your unboxing experience and journey mean everything to us.
