You’ve all seen the interview in which Charlie Puth, accidentally (or not) revealed that he had a collab coming out with BTS but had no idea when. Fans stormed the internet with raving theories and general release anticipation as soon as the surprising hint was dropped.
After the successful previous collab stage of ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ back in 2018 at MGA, Puth fans and ARMY alike have been begging deeply for a collaboration between the two artists. Especially after Jungkook has expressed his love for Charlie’s music before their first official meeting in 2018 with the unofficial covers he recorded alongside Jimin on BANGTANTV.

On a TikTok that was dropped on Friday Morning (KST), Jungkook made an unexpected appearance over Charlie's very active account. The TikTok was a phone-call skit between Charlie and Jungkook, with Charlie directing Jungkook over his vocals for specific lyrics in their new song ‘Left and Right’. The video was playful and cheery, with Jungkook cutely hopping about while Charlie spoke with a hint of mirth in his voice.

Previously, Charlie had been releasing snippets of the song-making process of this song since earlier this year but could have never guessed it would be for this dream collab. The song itself – or what we know of it so far – is a feel-good guitar mix with a summery vibe. Its sure to get your feet moving. We’re already obsessed!

With Jungkook’s recent excursions to the US ahead of his band members when they’ve had joint schedules over the pond, maybe this is only the start of Jungkook’s amazing collabs with other artists. He has been making very good friends recently! Like Pink$weats and H.E.R. Purely, conjecture, but we can dream right?
Recently, each member of BTS announced that they would each be releasing solo work in the next phase of their career, so if this is only the start, we are so excited to see more. The new song by Charlie Puth feat Jungkook of BTS - ‘Left and Right’ will be released on June 24th. Until then, this song will be taking up every corner of our minds.
