Last Chance to Experience the Pocha Lifestyle with Seoulbox!

Last Chance to Experience the Pocha Lifestyle with Seoulbox!

March is almost over, and that means this month’s box is almost gone. This is your last chance to experience the Pocha Lifestyle with Seoulbox—you don’t want to miss it!

Why Did We Choose This Theme?

For March 2023, we decided to do Pocha: A Street Restaurant. Short for pojangmacha (íŹìž„ë§ˆì°š), a pocha is a covered cart or stall that sells soju and food (anju,Â ì•ˆìŁŒ). You may recognize it from k-dramas; this is the place to get a bite to eat after a long day's work or drink your problems away with friends.

ï»żSince we know many of our Seoulmates don't live in Korea, we wanted to transport them to this iconic part of Korean culture. We've included lots of interesting information in our Seoulzine, including the best streets to visit pochas, a guide to eating samgyeopsal (ì‚ŒêČčì‚Ž) like a pro, and even some soju recipes.

More importantly, we've added snacks that recall famous street foods you'd find in a pocha. They'll give you a taste of what street restaurants have to offer, so you'll know what to order when you do get the chance to visit Korea.

What’s In the Box?

You might not be able to order tteokbokki (ë–Ąëł¶ìŽ) or eomuk (ì–ŽëŹ”) at a night market, but you can pretend that you're eating them when you open one of our snacks. Here’s a highlight of what’s inside the Pocha box:

A bag of Nagasaki Jjamppong instant ramen

Nagasaki Jjamppong Ramen. Mimicking the spicy Japanese seafood-pork soup of the same name, it's perfect for warming up on a chilly evening.

Crab Snack Gejang Flavor. Named after marinated raw crabs, this is a nice and crunchy addition to your midnight snacks.

Baked Potato Hot Grilled BBQ. Grilled sweet potatoes are a classic Korean winter street food. Paired with smoky pork seasoning, they are a delicious and satisfying treat.

Peach iced tea with spring-flavored treats

Peach Iced Tea. Refreshing on its own or in a soju cocktail. You’ll find that many soju brands come in fruity flavors, with peach and grapefruit among the most popular.

Besides these pocha-themed items, we have other surprises inside:
