K-DRAMAS THAT WERE FILMED IN AMUSEMENT PARKS

Spice up your Korea journey with these beautiful filming locations featured on these all-time favorite K-drama series. Being in lockdown has definitely increase my K-drama library and I’ve got the itch to visit Korea once all this blows over. As a die-hard K-drama fan, I’m always on the lookout for filming locations to feature to my trips.

Here are 4 unique K-drama filming locations that’ll add more culture and flavor to your next Korea journey.

  • Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

  • E-World, Daegu:

E-world was highlighted in another famous dating scene, this time from ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’. This funfair in Daegu city was where Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyung went for a “date” with their friends tagging along, and also where the 2 held hands for the first time in the drama.

  • What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim

  • Everland Amusement Park:

Amusement park dates are romantic, but Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon) takes it to a special level when he reserves the whole park for his love interest, Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young).
Their first date happened in one among the most important and most visited theme parks in South Korea: Everland funfair. Enjoy the day with its fun-filled attractions. Don’t forget to require an image ahead of the carousel where Lee Young-joon asked Kim Mi-so out.

  • Stairway To Heaven

  • Lotte World:

Located within the city centre of Seoul, Lotte World may be a unique amusement park, with an inside and outdoor section. The drama “Stairway to Heaven” brought this fantastical land to viewers’ attention with a gorgeous plot and soundtrack. The story revolved around two star-crossed lovers, played by Kwon Sang-woo and Choi Ji-woo, who were childhood best friends with similar tragic experiences. Lotte World became a special place where the 2 kids played around, especially on the carousel and therefore the ice-skating rink.

  • Descendants of the Sun

  • Wolmido Island:

Last but never least, this post must highlight a filming location the newest major K-drama hit “Descendants of the Sun” Although most of the drama’s filming spots are faraway from Seoul, you'll visit Wolmido Island. The handsome leads, Song Joong-ki and Jin Goo, played within the shooting gallery at this amusement park by the coast of Incheon.

Next time you watch these K-drama, make certain to seem out for these locations featuring the colourful city of Seoul!
