J-HOPE AT LOLLAPALOOZA 2022
It’s time to stop daydreaming J-Hope stans, as the day has come where we get to see the king of stage presence perform live as a headlining act at this year’s Lollapalooza festival at the end of June.
Lollapalooza official Instagram page made the official announcement with a riveting video compilation of J-hope in some of his most outstanding performances that ended with a snapshot of the official Lollapalooza 2022 line-up.
And J-Hope’s name appears in glorious bold, along with other names such as J-Cole, Big Sean, Charlie XCX and fellow company mates Tomorrow x Together.

Being 1 seventh of the BTS line-up, this put’s this highly anticipated performance as 14% of a BTS concert. Even though this is a solo activity, we are more than confident that the other members will come through with their strong show of support.
In fact, on J-Hope’s own Instagram feed, when he posted about the big news, Gen Z extraordinaire Jungkook zealously commented on his post saying ‘’Jyahope Let’s Goooooooooooooooo!’’ [trans: 쟈홉 가쟈아아아아아아아아!!!!!!!!!!]. Proving that the Maknae never fails to make us laugh.

Back to the meat of J-Hope’s own declaration to the news being out there he eloquently said – showing off his ever-improving English skills – ‘’This is going to be my first performance [at lollapalooza]. It’s a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a memorable chapter in my musical history’’.

And we can’t disagree. We know that this is going to be a legendary moment for the dance leader of BTS who’s previous examples of producing as well as his mixtape ‘Hopeworld’ have never failed to make ARMY swoon.

The rapper-singer-dancer’s stage time for Lollapalooza on Sunday July 31st, marking a close to the festival weekend, is proving to be the highest-profile performance for a solo member of BTS. It’s also a pinnacle moment as J-Hope is also the first Korean artist to be one of the headlining acts to a major festival stage.

Though he is replacing Doja Cat as the American singer-rapper had to pull out due her recovery from tonsillitis, it’ll hardly be a mood for disappointment as J-Hope commands the stage like he does with his stellar-controlled and fluid dance style.

The ray of sunshine of BTS promises ARMY he’s ‘gonna give you guys a great show.’ And commands us to ‘get ready to get crazyyyyyy!’, which bodes well for the kind of night he’s planning for his stage. ARMY are excited, having already stormed the ticket pages and sold out within hours of hearing this news.

Although, it won’t only be ARMY attending the 3-day festival. Other music lovers and general listeners will also be in attendance, to which we declare a warning. If you weren’t a BTS fan before attending, then you’ll surely leave having been captured by just 1 example of the talent that they encompass.
We also wouldn’t blame you if you left with a new bias and having been wrecked thrice over by that bias.
J-Hope certainly carries on the performance spectacle’s, your heart won’t be safe. Trust me.
