Popular former IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura was spotted August 27 at Incheon International Airport, supposedly followed by BTS’s security team.
It was reported by Korean News1 media that “Sakura was previously scheduled to enter the country on the 23rd, for the possibility to sign an exclusive contract with BTS and TXT’s agency HYBE, to join Kim Chae Won, formerly IZ*ONE member to lead a new upcoming girl band under Source Music with an exclusive contract.
Later, HYBE released a statement regarding Sakura being guarded by BTS’s security, “We are unable to confirm anything about Miyawaki Sakura’s arrival in Korea and the BTS security team.”
Sakura signing with HYBE was confirmed by her reps “Miyawaki Sakura signed a contract with HYBE and will depart from Japan and head to Korea within August.”
Sakura’s career began on 2011 with her debut on the Japanese group HKT48 and on 2018 she participated on Mnet reality Produce 48 with her debut as an IZ*ONE member.
0n 2021 after the disbandment, Miyawaki return to her country and is now set off to begin a new challenge on her career as an artist.
