G- (IDLE) AT INKIGAYO
In last week’s Inkigayo episode G-(IDLE) win’s #1 with their track ‘TOMBOY’. It was their 3rd win for the title on the program and fans are hardly surprised.
The empowering song, which was released as the lead single on their ‘I Never Die’ album on March 14th, 2022, topped the charts in several respects. It was #1 in South Korea on the Apple Music Charts, YouTube Charts, and iTunes. The song is an empowering commentary on gender norms and the playful beat is what gets fans so excited about this resurgence of the song.
The song is also the first instance of a quintet released song following the departure of member Soobin in august 2021. Despite the controversy over this sensitive topic, fans were proud and enamored to see the girls bounce back. And with a chart-topper no less.

Other performances that wowed the crowd on Inkigayo last week were performances from other nominees such as SEVENTEEN, Le Sserafim, CLASS:y and Hwayeon. Jo YuRi also made her comeback with the song ‘Love Shh’ and gave a spectacular performance that made fangirls and boys alike swoon with her cheeky and enjoyable nature.
ADORA also gave a riveting performance of her new single ‘Trouble? TRAVEL’, which was the cherry on top of the sundae that was the great talent we saw.
