BTS YET TO COME IN BUSAN FUN FACTS

As we share don our past blog, BTS assisted South Korea's candidacy for the 2030 World Expo and promote the event, but in just a few days, this free concert has done more wonders for the city than anyone could have anticipated. ARMY had to possibility to enjoy their idols either live at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium or live on big screens at Busan Port and Haeundae Beach.

BTS “Yet to Come in Busan” concert was the K-pop band last concert before the idols enlist on their military service, but it was all just bad news, the concert was full of surprises, facts and funny moments ARMY will always remember and appreciate.

Jin’s Solo Album

“I have a new album coming out. It's not that big of a deal. It's just a single. I was able to collaborate with someone I really adore. I have a lot of contents to share with you, so I hope you enjoy them.”

As we can see on Jin’s message during the concert, his single will be collaboration with someone he has liked for a very long time, and its release its just around the corner. As the oldest of the idols, Jin will be the first one to enlist for military service, but even that didn’t stop him from captivating ARMY hearts with his performance and passion.

Run BTS

Another key moment at the “Yet to Come in Busan” concert was the performance of RUN BTS, since the album's release, the song has been one of ARMY favorite and although we've been singing and dancing along to it for months, the idols have finally provided us with a choreography that was in charged by BIGHIT MUSIC, performance directors Kim Minsung, Yoon Seongeun, Lee ByungEun, Riehata and Sienna Lalau. A beautiful performance that lives in ARMY minds forever, enjoy their amazing performance below:

Idols in the Sky

A heart whelming moment occur for ARMY at the concert when a drone show was presented in the sky in which the BTS symbol changed into the ARMY symbol, I bet you can imagine how happy and excited ARMY were looking at it. The drones also build images of the idols in the sky which captured the attention of every fan present in the stadium.

This was a scenario that heightened the emotions, making the night's genuine high point and taking over Busan's skies, accompanied by a city light up with the iconic band’s purple color.

Jimin’s Birthday

Jimin birthday was October 13, ARMY decided to keep celebrating it until the last day of the month. And in Busan, the idols hometown was the perfect place to do it. The sight of the other members of BTS singing happy birthday to their beloved angel alongside thousands of ARMY always leaves him speechless.

Best Moment is Yet to Come

At the end of the concert, the idols tried to calm down ARMY by letting them know they are soon returning to stages and that never intend to leave them alone. RM assured that their music would continue to be released and make everyone happy. Jimin confirmed they will continue composing music till they age 70.

Military Service

“Yet to Come in Busan” concert came just before BTS idols enlist on their obligatory military service, in which they will spend two years in the military and are set to be back in 2025. Jin will turn 30 on December and as the older member of the band he will be the first one to enlist, followed the rest who were born between 1993 and 1997.

This was announced by BIGHIT MUSIC: “BIGHIT MUSIC is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service… as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it’s perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve.”

This are not only sad news for ARMY but as well for South Korea, since having one of the biggest worldwide known K-pop bands out of scene, the government is set to loose billions of dollars, BTS contributes with at least $3.6 billions every year. With negative aspects like this one, ARMY hoped the Korean government would made an exception with the idols, as it has been done in the past with musicians and footballers. You can read our dedicated blog about their military service here, you can find this and more detailed information on it.

I think that we all agree and can say that this concert warmed our hearts, it was a unique and awesome experience for ARMY and just as they will all ways be there for us, us in the same way will be there to support the anytime, anywhere, and we are going to be waiting for them with our arms open!

Author: SUJI SOHN

About the author: Suji was studying in London in the year 2019 and, although being separated from her family, her passion for Korea was growing. She noticed that a lot of her close friends loved Korean culture, food, music, and dramas and gradually started to fall in love with Korea, but there weren't many opportunities to actually "experience" this wonderful nation!

Suji was aware of what she needed to do to introduce Korea to her friends' lives and, conceivably, to those of everyone else who was curious about a piece of Daehan Min-guk.
