Anti-Asian hate crimes have skyrocketed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stop AAPI Hate’s National Report found that over 6600 incidents were reported from March 19th, 2020, to March 31st, 2021. And in January 2022, the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism announced that anti-Asian hate crimes had increased 339% from the previous year.
