2) Jeju Five-Day Folk Local Market, Jeju-do
The Jeju Five-Day Folk Market is the largest periodical market in Jeju, as well as in all of South Korea. It has around 1,000 vendor stalls with 860 merchants. The market has a variety of local goods and is divided into five different zones; daebak (awesome) street, love street, happiness street, health street, and cheerful street.
At the daebak street and love street, merchants sell high-quality flowers, grains, and pottery. At the center of the market, all the miscellaneous stalls sell different things such as pets, and toys, but if you're ever hungry, then you can find famous Korean snacks like Tteokbokki (giant rice cakes), and bingtteok ( a traditional rolled buckwheat pancake) too.
The happiness street merchants sell imported items like clothing and bags along with bedding, linen, and knitwear. The health street is as the name suggests. Here you’ll find medicinal herbs shops, and more food products like side dishes. The Jeju-Five Day Folk Market is open on days ending in 2 or 7 (2nd, 7th, 12th, 17th, 22nd, 27th).
