Although the world may be in the middle of a pandemic, that doesn’t mean we should let our skin suffer in the midst of it. South Korea is one of the leaders in the beauty world with sources estimating that the K-beauty industry will be worth close to a whopping £15billion by 2026! Not only that, but they’re constantly changing up the beauty game with their almost-yearly trends.
One beauty trend which has blown up in the last few years is clean beauty. With the growing concern of the impact of pollution on our skin (especially in South Korea where micro-dust is a big issue) and our health in general, consumers and companies are looking towards more natural skincare products which do not contain ingredients such as parabens, sulphates, artificial colourings and fragrances, as well as other harmful substances. Another thing is that not only are the products themselves clean, companies are also trying to cut down on non-recyclable packaging–in turn, also helping to keep our planet clean and healthy too!
Although most South Korean skincare is focused primarily on the face, there are plenty of products and skincare routines for the body too! Just like the face, these products and routines focus on cleansing, exfoliation and keeping your skin hydrated.
