It spans across the stream between the second and third levels of Cheonjeyeon waterfall, from east to west. The first two levels measure 22 meters and 30 meters tall respectively, although water only runs from the top tier following rainfall. According to Korean legend, it’s stated that nymphs descend from the heavens and bathe in the waterfall’s pool at night, so if you see those nymphs, then you’re on the right track.
Visitors can enjoy a 1km stroll along the valley. There’s a pool where the waterfall flows with mottled eels; a type of fish that are active at night. When the eels come out at night, the space near the waterfall glows, creating a magical ambience. Even though Cheonjiyeon is small in size, it still provides numerous beautiful locations for taking pictures.
