Do you know who D’allant are? This awesomely unique and exotic music group? Well, we had a lovely moment with them on an interview out of this world, we talked about their origin, likes, inspirations, and future projects! Let’s have an intergalactic trip with D’allant!

Meet D'allant - a group of space explorers. Members claim to have woken up on a ship in space, not remembering where they originally come from. But from the very first moment of awakening, they started touring outer space, exploring different planets, and now - expressing their experiences through music.

D’allant are known across the universe, bringing happiness and joy to many planets along the Milky Way…

"We're recognized artists on many other planets, but we still have a long way to go on Earth, so I'm looking forward to the future."

The Space Explorer’s Group consists of 2 brave members: DAYE, a Space Scout and Pizzafair, a Multiple Personality Program. They claim that their typical day as a group consists of exploring the space and reporting it to ‘Mr.UNKNOWN’, whose personality for casual readers still needs to be established.

“We live according to the rules set by the patrol. We wake up at a normal time, explore the universe, write a report and give it to Mr.UNKNOWN”

“So, for D'allant, their albums are the results of them exploring different planets: For the [COSMOS] album, we tried to organize what we know about the solar system, and in the [PROLOUGUE] album, we told a story about D'allant's first beginning. In the future, we will show you an even deeper worldview of D'allant.”

Indeed, all the songs have a theme of outer space, and the aesthetics in the music videos are out of this world! DAYE states that they wanted to show how they see and experience everything in this universe and hopefully get it across to everyone, creating beautiful artworks.

As for the song creation process, the band writes lyrics and composes songs themselves! With such a unique concept, not every song can be released under the name D'allant:

"For us, any song we release should feel like 'Oh, it's a song from D'allant' to be released. Only two of us can understand what that means, and most songs are completed in a day. The song that took the longest was "SATURN". We wanted to compose it carefully because it was the planet, we loved the most".

Besides, since their songs are basically "reports on their outer space experiences", they need a lot of time for research. Still, the whole process of recording the song itself doesn't take too long for D'allant.

As for the artists they look up to themselves, the names brought up throughout the interview were Michael Jackson and Taemin, with the group very obviously highlighting their love and admiration for Taemin.

They said that they want to leave the same impact on Earth as Michael Jackson did, and while they are grateful for any collaborations that come their way, it's the meeting and opportunity to work with Taemin that they dream about the most.

Looking at D'allant’s social media, it becomes clear from the start that they already have both a domestic and international following. We asked the group what they think about this and generally about the rise of interest in Korean culture.

"We were really grateful and surprised. Apparently, many people found out about D'allant through Spotify, listening to the song 'NEPTUNE'. We are thrilled and grateful because that was a fun song based on our experience. We will be able to go around in space with more strength."

As for their interest in Korea, they stated that Korea is a unique and wonderful place, even though they've been to many places in space. They believe one of the charms of Korea is its ability to keep in line with ever-evolving trends.

To wrap up the interview, D'allant stated that their hope for the band is to leave a definite mark in the world and universe:

"When you think of the universe, I hope you think of us right away. I want to be remembered as an interesting artist with unique and charming visuals and music."

Following we have the whole intergalactic interview in a more direct and detailed way with this alien contact we had with the Space Explorer’s DAYE and Pizzafairy, let’s keep surfing the stars with D’allant and see what the universe has to offer us!

Seoulbox: Can you introduce the members? How long have you been interested in music?

DAYE: Hello, I’m DAYE from d’allant. I have no recollection of anything before being contacted by the space patrol, so I can’t say anything about it clearly.

Pizzafairy: Hello, I am Pizzafiry, a multiple personality program from D’allant. Today, I came out as Quattro Starzoni, the main character.

Seoulbox: Did you know each other before, or did you get introduced to each other after starting the band?

D’allant: As we don’t have any memories from before, I was reborn as a space scout, as I opened my eyes on a ship and walked through space as if it was a usual thing. So, I am a colleague from space.

Seoulbox: What is your typical day as a band?

D’allant: We live according to the rules set by the patrol. We wake up at a normal time, explore the universe, write a report and give it to Mr.UNKNOWN.

Seoulbox: What is the meaning or the symbolism behind the universe/cosmos-themed songs that you’ve released so far?

D’allant: As DAYE has already stated, D’allant woke up on a ship and started exploring the universe, so for us the music is mainly a medium to tell creatures on different planets about the universe.

For the [COSMOS] album, we tried to organize what we know about the solar system, and in the [PROLOUGUE] album, we told a story about D’allant’s first beginning. In the future, we are going to show you an even deeper worldview of D’allant.

Seoulbox: You can tell that you pay attention to the aesthetics of the music videos and not only to the lyrics and song composition. What did you want to translate through this aesthetics?

DAYE: First and foremost, we wanted to show our main visual Pizzafairy to people. Besides that, we also wanted to show how we see and experience everything in this universe, and hopefully get it across to everyone. We wanted to entertain you all through collaborations with great artists and beautiful artworks, appealing both to your ears and eyes.

Pizzafairy: It's a sign to join us in our wonderful patrol. We’d love to have you join us.

Seoulbox: What image would you want to translate to the public?

D’allant: When you think of the universe, I hope you think of us right away. I want to be remembered as an interesting artist with unique and charming visuals and music.

Seoulbox: How long does it take you to finish one song? What was the song that took you the longest and the one that you finished the quickest?

Pizzafairy: First, we need to prepare emotionally. Since music is our means of communicating and reporting, we need a lot of time for research. After these preparations it doesn’t take too long to create the song in the form that you can hear it.

If we already know everything about a planet, sometimes the process takes only 3 days, as with a song 134340.

Seoulbox: What do you think about the Korean music industry?

DAYE: As the music industry grows beyond just listening to music, K-pop market is also increasing, and, as a result, D’allant, who is also located in Korea, seems to be growing as an artist.

I'm inspired by a lot of great artists. Whenever we look for some content, we are constantly sending our affection towards Taemin. I love you.

Pizzafairy: Taemin, I love you.

Seoulbox: Is there an artist you especially respect? Or someone you’d like to collaborate with?

D’allant: Among the artists, I respect Michael Jackson the most. There are a lot of great and inspiring artists, so we are grateful for any collaborations to come, but of course, as always, the one that comes to mind straight away is Taemin.

Seoulbox: How do you feel about gaining followers not only in Korea but also abroad?

D’allant: We were grateful and surprised. Apparently, a lot of people found out about D’allant through Spotify, listening to the song ‘NEPTUNE’. We are especially happy and grateful because that was a fun song based on our experience. I will be able to go around in space with more strength now. Thank you!

Seoulbox: Recently foreigners started taking more and more interest in Korean culture. What do you think might be the reasons for that?

D’allant: I have been to many places in space, but Korea is unique and wonderful. I am also deeply touched by how in line Korea is with all the rapidly changing trends. There is a unique characteristic of Korea that cannot be reproduced in. Other countries. I hope that people from other countries visit Korea and feel the charm themselves.

Seoulbox: What do you hope for the band to achieve?

D’allant: I want to become just as an iconic artist as Michael Jackson is on Earth.

We're recognized artists on many other planets, but we still have a long way to go on Earth, so I'm looking forward to the future.

Seoulbox: Can you sing a snippet of your song?

D’allant: It’s a shame that the interview didn’t happen in person, but please look up our songs on Youtube!

Seoulbox: Do you want to give a spoiler for any upcoming songs?

D’allant: In the near future, we will show you D’allant's deeper worldview, new generation and new times. Please look forward to it.

We hope you enjoy this awesome interview, and we invite you to enjoy their galactic music!
