Aesthetic Cute Cafes in Seoul

SEOUL's CUTE CAFES:

Seoul is the heaven of coffee shops. Traditional, themed, animal, you’ll find cafĂ©s- each one more interesting than the other- at every street corner in the capital.

While the food is important, eating and drinking in an aesthetically pleasing environment is a must in South Korea. That’s why we came up with a list of 8 aesthetic cafĂ©s that you have to visit during your next trip to Seoul.

Cafe Onion Anguk

The Anguk branch of Onion is probably one of the trendiest cafes in Seoul.

Mixing the past and present, Cafe Onion is set in a traditional Hanok building and is specialized in high-quality bread and pastries. You’ll have to take off your shoes and sit on the floor, promising an unforgettable experience.

Located in Anguk you will just be a walk away from the Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Bukchon Hanok village.

Address: 5, Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Pink Pool Cafe

Situated in the trendy area Hongdae, the Pink Pool Cafe is a must-visit cafe in the district.

The cafe belongs to the Korean fashion brand Style Nanda’s flagship store so the first third floors are dedicated to clothes while the 4th floor is the cafĂ©.

The super instagrammable cafe features an entirely pink decor with flamingos, velvet chairs and a small pool! Well, the pool is not really for swimming, in fact, you cannot even trip your toes, but it looks very cute for pictures ;) .

The Pink Pool Café also offers delicious drinks and treats from croissant and chocolate tart to lattes.

Address: 335-21 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Cafe Layered

Yeonnam-dong is the holy grail of cute shops in Seoul. In this small area, you’ll find all types of different cafĂ©s. Among them, Layered is one of its kind. In this English-style bakery, you’ll have a lot (and we mean A LOT) of choices: cakes, tarts, scones and even salty options like onion cheese scones.

Additionally, the two floors brick building has a rooftop so you can even eat outside when the weather is warm.

Address: 223-20 Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Greem Cafe

In Korean, “Greem” - or 귞늌- means “Drawings” and this is exactly the inspiration of this cafĂ©. With the decor being entirely black and white you’ll feel like in a comic book from the moment you walk through the door.

Since its opening in 2017, the cafe has been praised by Korean and international news outlets like ELLE and even appeared in the American movie “To all the Boys I’ve Loved 3”!

We particularly recommend their Red Velvet cake and the Lemon Ade.

Address: 223-14 Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

C27

C27 might be heaven on earth for cheesecake lovers.

The four-floor coffee shop offers 27 (yep! 27) different types of cheesecake. From Earl Grey, Lemon, Tiramisu , Chocolate Cherry, Green Tea to Vanilla and Nuts Cheese you’re sure to find something fitting your taste.

It also has a wide variety of drinks that will go perfectly with the desert.

C27 that defines itself as an amusement park and a coffee shop contains dozens of selfie spaces so be prepared to take your best Instagram photos!

Address: 39 Dosan-daero 15-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Peach Gray

Korea is well known for its themed cafes (we have to admit some are stranger than others
) but Peach Gray is a hidden gem.

With two branches, one in Gangnam and one in Jamsil, Peach Gray is a watercolor café in which you can eat while painting.

The café is rather small so the overall atmosphere is pretty chill even when it is full. It offers drinks like coffee, latte and ades but their signature items are the big fluffy pancakes!

The painting material fee is 3,000 KRW to get access to a watercolor palette, a brush and paper.

Address Gangnam: 32 Bongeunsa-ro 4-gil, Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Café Tape

Itaewon is popular for its international cuisines and multicultural atmosphere, but the foreign district also hides many charming cafés.

Tape is a unique coffee shop that offers galactic cakes with a half-sphere shape. You’ll get to choose from three different flavors which are  Strawberry Cream Cake, Chocolate Hazelnut Cake and Yuzu Cream Cheese Cake as well as various drinks including Iced Americano, Iced tea and milk tea.

The shop is set up in a gallery so you might even be able to see an exhibition while you visit!

The cherry on top? There is a rooftop with a breathtaking view of the city.

Address: 63-5, Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Madang Flower Café

In the last few years, Ikseon-dong has become a hotspot in Seoul, especially with the youth.

With its lovely little alleys and Hanok buildings, the small neighborhood is full of restaurants, gourmet and coffee shops.

Among them, Madang Flower Café is a must-visit. Full of flowers inside and outside, it creates a super romantic atmosphere, perfect for a day date!

The café is rather small but they have an interesting menu of various cookies, cakes, waffles, tea, coffee and smoothies.

Address: 33-12 Supyo-ro 28-gil, Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Victoria Bakery

Earning the nickname “The Brooklyn of Seoul”, Seongsu-dong has become a hip area for young Koreans. Previously an industrial area filled with shoe factories, the neighborhood attracted young artists and designers in the last years, transforming old buildings into trendy cafĂ©s and shops.

Victoria Bakery is a cute and cozy shop that offers succulent brownies, scones, cakes and donuts. You can also order a whole cake for any occasion such as birthdays or the new year!

The bakery is based close to Seoul Forest so you could even take your freshly made cakes to picnic in the park.

Don’t forget to take cute pictures before digging in your pastries!
